Lions Clubs of Iowa: District 9SW

			IOWA LIONS DISTRICT 9SW Thank You Council Chair Ardie and Ken Klemish for your great year of service in 2010-2011. You both have been a Becon of Hope to our District. All of your hard work has made us the leader in Iowa! We appreciate everything you have done for us and allt the work you continue to do! I am proud to serve as your 2011-12 9SW District Governor. I live in Winterset and work at Universal Pediatric Services/Ultimate Nursing Services in West Des Moines. I am here to help you and your clubs with anything you need so please call upon me to help. With the new District Governor Team concept you know that I may not be visiting your club to do the annual visit, but I will be there for other events. Please contact me to schedule club visits, schedule special presentations, or attendance at other events. Secretaries, please remember if you are filling out your MMR's and activities on the International website there is no need to send me your MMRТs or your monthly club activities reports. I am looking forward to a GREAT year in Lionism! During 2011-2012, districts will be encouraged to believe in and take action to strengthen our membership, caring for fellow members as if they are family. We will believe and succeed in expanding our service to new heights, propelled by a special campaign to plant one million trees. We will believe in nurturing our future by involving more young people and Leos in all that we do. Believe that one person can make a difference. Believe that the entire world can be changed when we come together as Lions. Believe that changing a life бV or the world бV starts with each one of us. In this 2011-2012 Lions year, we should do the following: Дл Believe in Service Дл Believe in Club Members Дл Believe in Nurturing our Future Дл Believe in Leadership Дл Believe in Projecting our Image Дл Believe in Giving Back The international theme, I BELIEVE, challenges Lions in districts and clubs to demonstrate their belief by having the courage to make a commitment and take action. This action will make visible the power of belief in the Lions clubs network of service; making an impact worldwide today and for the future.
